St James' CE Junior School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
At St James' we see online safety education as an integral part of our school curriculum. We promote online safety in school through regular assemblies and termly lessons, as well as embedding the key messages and themes throughout our pupils' learning. Our pupils learn how to keep themselves safe online; they know ways in which they can seek help if they are ever unsure about something they have seen or experienced online and they are learning how to be responsible online citizens.
A specially chosen group of Year 6 pupils work as Online Safety Ambassadors and have led whole school competitions to promote ways of keeping safe online and continue to raise the profile of online safety.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are:
· Mr Tutt (Executive Head Teacher),
· Miss Debbie Johnson (Head of Schools),
· Miss Lucy Hayward (Deputy Head Teacher) and
· Mrs Janet Holdstock (Family Liaison Officer)
If you have any concerns about behaviour or bullying please speak to Mr Tutt, Miss Johnson or Miss Hayward.
