Angels at Burrswood - November 2015
On Tuesday 24th November 2015 the artist Jane Churchill came to work with some Year 3 children at St James'. They created some stunning angels in a range of media - collage, paint and LOTS of glitter! During the week children in the rest of the school will be invited to make their own, smaller angels.
All the artwork will be on public display from December 1st - 31st or display at Burrswood to celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
Parents and friends are welcome to see the artworks in situ by popping along Burrswood. You could also join in the Family Carols at 5pm on Tuesday 1st December. The service is FREE but you will need to contact Burrswood to book tickets. See the leaflets in the entrance or contact Burrswood direct.

Sponsored Walk - 23.10.15.
The sponsored walk was a resounding success again this year. The weather held, and all the children looked fantastic in their costumes. The atmosphere was amazing, with singing, dancing and sprinting around the track. The children walked an exhausting 10km, supporting each other and keeping spirits high.
The class with the best fancy dress went to 3I, who had an inspired 'Coastline' theme, complete with lighthouses, jelly fish and sharks. The class with the most sponsors was 4I. Congratulations to both classes, they will receive £100 each to spend in their classrooms.
A huge thank you to all families and friends of the children. Together, we raised a whopping £5295.13. And many thanks also to Fidelity employees, Sioban Adams, Bridget Radley and Nandeesh Dharwan, who worked tirelessly to help organise the event, and make sure it ran smoothly. As a result, Fidelity have agreed to match fund our sponsorship money, making the grand total £10,590.26. We will soon be rivaling the British Library!
